What is grief and how does it unfold?

Grief is a normal process that occurs after a profound experience caused by loss. These losses can be so unique and individual that a tailored approach is often beneficial to help you move forward in your life.

Grief can relate to the loss of a loved one, a pet, a phase of life, or something else entirely.

Anyone who has ever experienced such grief goes from a state of shock, in which the loss is initially denied, to a state of realization with intense emotional outbursts.

You are surely also familiar with those moments when your surroundings seem to return to normal, but you are still caught up in your emotions.
